Apartheid South Africa? Tibet? Zimbabwe?

Yes.

Tibet is under foreign rule by invaders; there are people in Tibet and of
Tibet but living elsewhere who are working to change that.

The people of South Africa did throw off the oppressive apertheid system;
it took time. I'm sure the people of Zimbabwe will get rid of their
present insane government, eventually; just as they got rid of the equally
insane one that preceded it.

It took Europe and the mediterranean region about 1000 years to 'settle
down' after the fall of the Roman empire and the various invasions from
'the north' and Asia - invasions which I suspect were triggered at least
in part by an episode of 'climate change'. Africa hasn't even had one
generation to adjust to the passing of the European empires; nor has 'the
middle east'.

Encouraging what we perceive as 'good' movements is one thing; imposing
our ideas is quite different.
