But I wish you well in your continuing effort to find truth. Often the
finding the truth for oneself is quite sufficient. Once one has really
been transformed by insight, the need to convince others of it by
preaching, etc. usually fades quickly. One is usually then willing to
simply "let the light shine" without forcing the glare into others'
eyes.

I never preached - I reported.

I'm not sure I understand the difference you are alluding to. I'm not
using preach in the strict sense of a formal sermon, but in the sense
of urgent advocacy - particularly with content perceived to be of
moral importance. Your posts on the subject both by quantity and tone
do seem to have strong advocacy embedded in them, whereas simple
unbiased reporting would not. It does seem to matter to you what
people believe about this, as if "awakening" them will have some
important benefit. Perhaps I misunderstand.

You do misunderstand but that perhaps is understandable, given the
crazy atmospherics on SRQ.

As something already done, I defended Dr. Thiering's honor on SRQ.
Also, sci.archaeology Newsgroup currently has
a thread "Barbara Thiering Refuted" where the conversation is sharp.
I am more interested there than with
SRQers who never got it.

Now, I am telling people "Let go and let God".

Thus, I do not actually force or preach - I report or switch context
or talk about other things.

From now on I don't intend to have the occasion to explain myself but
rarely on SRQ because that's the way I feel.

Thanks for being a gentleman.

Peace,
Dave
