It is not generally regarded as essential to be affiliated with a
yearly meeting to be a valid monthly meeting. Generally, a body
claiming to be a Friends meeting is regarded as such, absent clear
evidence that the claim is false. The FWCC Section of the Americas
Friends Directory includes a number of independent meetings, including
Glenside Friends Meeting (Licia's home meeting).
To my knowledge, Licia has never claimed that her prophecy is affirmed
by any body of Friends, and her Meeting has never supported it. It is
an individual prophecy and if proven false, it seems to me that the
embarassment will fall on the claimed prophetess, and should not have
much impact on the Society of Friends.
Any body of Friends may declare itself not in unity with an action or
statement of another body of Friends if it feels that is needed. This
would be a way to deal with any independent meeting which caused
serious misrepresentation of Friends by its deeds or words. I'm not
aware of anything that Glenside Friends Meeting has done or said that
would raise such questions.
I don't know the current status of that Meeting. My understanding was
that it consisted of four people. Two of them, Licia & Larry Kuenning,
have now moved far away to Farmington, Maine. My understanding is that
they are not part of any Friends group at their new location.
But if Glenside Friends Meeting is still functioning as a monthly
meeting, if it has a membership process, and if Licia is a member in
good standing under that process, she would seem to be entitled to
claim to be a Quaker under the definition of member of the Society of
Friends.
