The point of my injection is to indicate that speaking of
"literalness" and using a rhetorical question such as "when did . . .
ever . . . without..." is darned careless, since the boundary between
the points one wishes the metaphor/analogy to support and the ones one
darned well doesn't want it to support, is arbitrary. Superficially
it's an appeal to the myth of "literalness" of God's fatherhood in
Mormondom, but when pricked the flight from being TOO literal begins,
and the inadequacy of the appeal even as analogy begins to surface.
In other words, that a discussion of it can get bogged down at all is
just another indication that the literalness myth is unhelpful (though
it seems to comfort some LdS who obviously aren't motivated to move
past the myth's faith-promoting aspects).

May I introduce myself? I have a very strong testimony of the Mormon
Church. The real name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints. I am 51 years old and have been a member since age 8; I have
also studied many of the writings and history of the Far East from
ancient Babylon and the Clay tablets written in Sumner. Heavenly
mother that the Mormons talk about is has nothing to do with the Queen
of Heaven written in the Bible. The Queen of Heaven in the Bible had
to do with Athtart (Athtart-name-of-Baal, Astarte, Ashtoreth, Ashtart)
The Greek Aphroditie and the Roman Venus. Goddess of Love. The evening
and morning star is Venus. It looks like a bright star and has a form
of the word Astarte,where we get the word star. She was the wife of
Baal the Canaanite God. Baal was Mars because the Romans had Mars and
Venus as lovers. Just like the apostasy that happened to the church at
Christ's time an apostasy also happened to the true doctrines and
teachings of Noah to his sons. Astarte, Ashtoreth was actually the
church she is married to Jehovah or Baal. She is the partner to
Christ. Isaiah talks about the church going a horing after other Gods.
Meaning she is not true to the truth or Jehovah. Even Baal gets
corrupted at the time of Abraham. He is no longer the son of El who
fought Yam (Lucifer or Satan) in the Preearth life but he has become
the God of rains and of human sacrifice. The Church meaning got
corrupted into an actual person or goddess Ashtoreth. The ancient
Sumerians descendants of Shem Noah's oldest son told their stories
where even events were named as Gods and each male side had a similar
female side hence the Yin and Yang of the Chinese. This is very
confusing to the average person. It was to me and I have studied all
this near east history and mythology and stuff. Even the Greeks and
Romans agree that Venus was an outsider to the Gods she was born from
the genitals of Uranus the sky god when Chronos or Saturn killed him.
These genital were thrown into the sea and Aphrodite was born meaning
she came from across the sea or the Mediterranean Sea. The genitals
are not actual genitals but again show an event. The worship of
Aphrodite or Venus came from the east and had nothing to do with the
other Roman gods and goddesses. These were children of Chronos and
Reah who Chronos ate except Zeus. Then Zeus kills his father and he
becomes King of the gods. The actual Chronos was the god of the
ancient patriarchs Adam to Noah. The before the flood world. This is
what is meant by Zeus killing Chronos or Saturn from which we get the
word Saturday or Saturn's day. Zeus or the new god of heaven killed
all the people before the flood. After each tragic event an old god
dies and a new one is born. Just like we have an old year and the New
Year. Uranus was the sky god and actually means the world and its
place in the heavens before it fell to this solar system. Chronos is
the God after it comes to this solor system. This is also written down
in the cuneiform tablets. See the writing of what Brigham Young said
about the earth falling to this solar system after Adam and Eve
partook of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil but that is
another story and subject. Hope this helps
