But this boggles the human mind since we seem to know
of nothing that is self generated. Nothing that has no cause. Even
prophets seem to have trouble in understanding this or if they
understand it, they must have trouble explaining it to the rest of us.
So again, a simple yes or no answer may be impossible if accuracy and
precision are required.

??

You seem to be saying that since it boggles the mind that a thing
could have never begun to be, we must be doubtful about it. But the
alternative is equally boggling, on the face of it. Why the arbitrary
preference to determine just one of the two boggling things to doubt?

Well, whatever I seem to you to be saying is what you are going to
think I am saying. I followed your reference to the former discussions
of years past and found that this was being discussed and the
proponents of the two main conflicting ideas were talking past each
other as they still seem to be, I can enertain the possibilty that
your views are correct, but it seems (there is that word again) to me
at least that you are either unwilling or unable to entertain the
possibility that what I seem (to you) to be saying is not something
that ou can even consider. So are we not at an impasse, as we have
been since 2003 or well before?

But considering your next paragraph (snipped) as well, I think the two
questions above are really one -- is deification an eternal round, and
is Father and are we just instances of something that's been going on
forever and will be forever. Or for some finite time.

I have no objection to that paragraph whatever it may mean to you. I
see no reason for even including the idea of "some finite time".\

Another way of thinking about this: is it POSSIBLE that God is the
only God, there were none before him, he was never a man, and that he
created all things (and I mean ALL). If that's POSSIBLE, then the
speculative character of other notions is qualified fairly steeply.

As I have said above, I believe, of course it is possible to hold that
thought. The fact that you appear to think that is the case, it is
patently possible for at least one man to believe in that way. I am
sure that there may be a large number of others who accept that
notion, whether they really have taken an effort to think about it, or
not.

I also do not understand if "God changes not" as we are told in the
Scriptures, how can He be enjoying "Eternal Progression"?

Easy enough. He may never have changed in character or purpose etc. He
mayy have progressed in so man ways that do not affect character,
purpose etc.

We've been assured, in this forum, that progression is possible
without change.

And so it is. You were born with certain innate character, were you
not? Is there any part of that which has not changed? Would you not
say, however, that you have progressed in certain kinds of knowledge
for example?

Do you consider Jesus Christ to be in some way that unchangable God?
If so, how can you accept Luke 2:52? Of course if you consider Jesus
to have been simply a man, ignore the question. But if Jesus was
merely a man, I assume that you do not see eye to eye with all the
protestants who pray to Jesus.

What's boggling for you has not been boggling for other LdSs.

Which proves what?

Whether things really are boggling or not seems to be a new area of
controversy here. =A0 =A0;-)

Really?

I think I am probably going to leave this discussion. You can declare
victory over me if you like. Why may I leave? Well, nothing new and
interesting seems to be appearing here. Thanks for reminding me of
what was gone through in 2003.
