Are there any websites, blogs or other places that discuss what books should
be included in an LDS home library? Especially in the areas of history and
doctrine?
I am bothered by the use of the word "should".
The word should to me implies an "obligation" to do
something. I would prefer that the saints not feel
obliged to have certain books or ideas in their
libraries.
Ah! That pegs it--something had bothered me in the question (hence my
semi-joke response earlier), but i couldn't place it. The implied
obligation--that would be it, along with the implication that there
would be historical or doctrinal things that should*n't* be in a
Mormon's home library.
