Probably not better than some other man, also granted such understanding by
God. But certainly he was given great knowledge by God.

And you find that odd because? Afterall he received his knowledge from God -
surely it was going to be correct.

So he did. And I venture that a great many others did too. But it was lost
as apostacy followed apostacy.

He did - but none of these people appear to have passed it on in a form that
made it to present times. Not that unusual really. The Romans had a formula
for concrete. It was lost for centuries - until once again discovered.

Abraham's story in the Bible is someone else's written down words. What they
decided to put in, or leave out, was determined by them. They obviously
found these things not relevant to a book of scripture.

Joseph Smith is the prophet of the Dispensation of the Fulness of Times - it
is his Calling, Office and Right to be the Revelator of this information. It
was not for anyone else to do so. Just how these truths were kept hidden I
do not know fully. But they were, and Joseph Smith revealed them.

I think it is hard to make that assumption. Certainly that is what some
believed, but it doesn't follow that all believed it. I believe Joseph Smith
Jnr. to be a prophet of God, you do not. Not all people believe the same
things.
In some thousands of years time, when creation is proven, and evolution from
a Big Bang disproved, people could well ask, as you do, "Why did those who
knew the truth not tell others?" Well, we do, they do not listen.

I have previously answered this, but I will again. "Down" is figurative.

wherever you live, if you are going to Oxford University to study, you go Up
to Oxford. Not Up physically but Up to a higher state of learning. Oxford is
not on the top of a mountain, it is in the Isis (Thames) valley.
Having said that. Kolob is at the centre. The Center could be considered Up
and everywhere out from it Down.
