Perhaps if we exited the scope of the newsgroup a little further we could
perhaps venture to suppose that Newton sat under the apple tree to wait for
an apple to drop on him!

Just because someone discovered a correct fact using wrong methods, doesn't
justify the method, it means he got lucky to have not been proven wrong. A
conclusion is not a theory, its a decided end.

When you begin a discussion with a conclusion, you are essentially making a
statement. To tack on questions to a clear statement is baiting people...
This drops the discussion into the lower end of conversation we call
Trolling. Just because someone doesn't like being labeled a troll doesn't
mean they get to change the definition of a troll, a troll is a troll, warts
and all.

I have seen a lot of trolling going on in S. R. M. lately, It all started
off as so inviting, a chance to talk to people about the issues of
mormonism. Lately is has been far from it. If anyone truely wants to carry
on a conversation about our religion, and expect the best answers, you
should:

1. Post theory questions, not conclusions

2. Dont ask about things that would obviously not be answerable.
(things like "why didnt he tell anyone", for example)

3. If you are going to make a statement, make it and move on, dont tack on
bait questions

4. Be honest in asking: Are you open to accepting the response as true, or
have you decided the answer is false before a word is written?

If everyone in this newsgroup followed those 4 basic ideas as a rule, we can
carry on a conversation.
