There is one glaring problem here:
Georgia and South Carolina
Lets assume we take your argument at face value as being true, that anyone
could have predicted a civil war... If JS had predicted that Georgia would
be the start of the rebellion, the prophecy would have been false. If we
just had taken these two hotspot states alone, thats a 50/50 chance of being
wrong. The whole house of cards could have come tumbling down on a false
prophecy.
Lets not forget about Mississippi and Alabama though, the civil war could
have started there as well...
Here is yet another thing to consider... Why did the civil war even have to
start in a southern state besides? Why wouldnt rebels sneak into a northern
state and start fighting there?
There is mounting variables here, but Joseph Smith, under the inspiration of
the Lord, picked the exact state where the rebellion would start, and no
amount of guessing beforehand could have been so accurate.
