Of course it matters, David. In LDS Theology, without temple work and
Celestial Marriage, you can't get back to God, much less closer to God.
MikePi's point that this "most correct" book on earth lacks the
precepts of Temple Work and Celestial Marriage was very valid.
Not only does it matter in this context, but it matters enough to the
First Presidency in the last few weeks to issue a statement read in
Church meetings about the importance of temple work. For the BoM to
lack the precept the First Presidency needed to issue a statement about
suggests that it may not be the "most correct" book on earth and, more
to the point, may not help man get closer to God.
