I knew this, but never saw them as believing it exclusively. That is
to say, I would assume that they would also include Jews as part of
"Israel." This is what they have always told me at any rate.

BTW, I have the song "Ye Elders of Israel" in mp3 format. I consider
it an excellent Zionist song. (Though I think it has an eliptical
reference to Jesus somewhere).

Ha! LOL! If they only knew that this verse had been part of the
daily Jewish service for millennia...

I once asked a Mormon Bishop if my Friend Josh Levine could serve as a
bishop without counselors since he was a Levite. He was astonished
that anyone knew their lineage but said yes. Of course the lineage
has been scrupulously maintains (AS has been confirmed by DNA research
- i.e. the Kohain Modal DNA Sequence).
