A correction: further to my posting of Aug 23
There's a slip in my posting: it is not Muhammad who utters the
explicit threat, "Believe and testify forthwith the creed of Islam or
else thy neck shall be in danger!"; it is Al-Abbas. But he and
Muhammad are clearly acting in concert.
