The Reason For The Tribulation

When you ask people to trust
in Christ alone for salvation,
unless they already actually do,
very few people will want to;
even many Protestants will want to
trust in faith plus repentance (surrender)
rather than repent just because God said to;
they want to trust in that rather than in Christ alone.
Even though the Lord Jesus showed the world
that the entire basis for salvation
is the righteousness of Christ rather than ours,
so that the Protestant movement began,
still people want to trust in their
own righteousness for salvation.
Why is that?
This is why:
So many are actually trusting in their church.
Whatever their church teaches,
that is what they will believe.
So how will any of these billions of people
ever be reached?
That is the reason
for the Tribulation after the Rapture.
The Rapture will show that those
who trust in Christ alone for salvation
are those who are taken by the Lord Jesus.
The Tribulation that comes after the Rapture
will show people why they desperately need Christ.
When the prince of this world, the devil,
is cast out of heaven down to the earth
and the Tribulation begins,
people will see what the world is really like
as it turns to worship the prince of this world,
and as it turns against God
and wars against those who seek God,
and that none who trust in themselves
to be their own righteousness and victory
are able to stand.
But from the billions of people now on earth,
over one hundred million from all nations,
the greatest harvest of souls ever,
will stand against the devil and the world
by placing all their trust in Christ alone for salvation
so that Christ is their righteousness and their victory.
These will earnestly wait for the Lord Jesus to come
to deliver them from the world and to take them up.
