An understanding of Neo-Platonism and its morphosis through the millennia
does not help one understand the Word of God or the Baha'i Writings, except
where that understanding is invoked in those texts.

I used the term, "the Logos," to indicate that I was referring,
generally, to the Revelation of a Prophet and not, specifically, to
one individual text.
The Baha'i Writings don't force us to think that some elitist use of a
foreign word will make understanding better, deeper, faster. Quite the
opposite, our Writings are for the world, for better understanding, not
separation of knowers and seekers. They are for everyone, translated
into
every language, and understandable without historical context or the
approval of anyone.
The more knowledge we have about the context of a text, the better we
can understand it.
Some of those clouds are the insistent wailings of the knowledgeable that
what they know is important to the understanding of simple dynamics. It
isn't. The point is simple: do good works. Anything that draws us away
from that simple purpose is a cloud.
The only way I know what are "good works" is by reading what is
expected of me in the Covenant.
