I dont believe that "I have truth" , I said Allah is truth
and that Islam is a guidance to those who seek truth.
As Allah in the Qur'an from the get go said .
"[Shakir 2:2] This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a *guide* to those
who guard (against evil).
[Yusufali 2:2] This is the Book; in it is *guidance* sure, without
doubt, to those who fear Allah;
[Pickthal 2:2] This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a
*guidance*unto those who ward off (evil).
So the point is the Bahai *guidance* better than
Islam guidance?
Dear Yassir-
I'm wondering why it has to become a competition for after all we are speaking of the One God, One Religion of God and One Humankind in which all religions of man were derived from Revelations from God through the Manifestation of God who has reappeared over and over again, each time renewing the Religion of God and endowing it with a new potential and growth for Creation. We have been witnessing successive and successful stages of growth.
Based on this I would say that a current Revelation/religion of man is better than a previous simply because it was a renewal and a special potential to bring mankind to another level of development. In other words each religion has its own place in the overall scheme of God's Plan and Gods' Religion. There is no analogy to which we can related without you feeling we are putting down the Muslim religion and that is not what it means at all. Maybe thinking of past religions as chapters in the one book of God's religion might be relative.
From my standpoint the Baha'i guidance is for the unification of the entire planet of nations and therefore is better than the previous guidance which was for a previous stage of development. However nothing is lost in God's religions although one succeeds another, the truth only becomes more clearer and applicable to current conditions and future development.
In other words Yassir we are saying the same thing but it is a different world now and we need a new application of God's Word which has come to us in the Baha'u'llah Revelation and Baha'u'llah is the One Promised for all time.
Previous religions and their believers can only gain, not lose if they accept Baha'u'llah.

doug
