Two things...
I don't think I have any problem understanding the sentence "pilgrim's
notes have no authority in the Bahai faith". It is not too deep a
concept for my small brain to grasp. Many different religions have
different standards for which texts they consider "canonical" even
within the "same" religion. And there are also texts which exist and
claim to be authentic in some way, but which the orthdox mainstream
says have no weight.
