my letter to McCain

Below is a letter I sent to Senator McCain.
Dear Senator McCain:
The "buzzword" of this election seems to be "CHANGE". Unfortunately,
the only change politicians seem to be interested in is a change in
their political power. I would like to see a change in the attitude
of politicians towards our country.
Politicians refer to America as "A political arena", i.e. a place to
play political games. (Hence the phrase "political football",
etc). I would like for politicians to start thinking of this country
for what it is: OUR HOME!!
When a man has a home, he wants it to be safe and secure for his loved
ones. He wants it to be a place to provide food, clothing, educational
and job opportunities, all within his financial ability. If someone
in his home becomes ill or injured, he wants the best possible medical
care for them. If someone tries to destroy his home, or harm a member
of his family, a man defends his home. He doesn't invite the criminal
in to discuss the error of his ways! A man does not allow vagabonds,
criminals, or escapees to sneak in his back door, camp in his living
room, eat his food, or use his ATM to send money to those "back home".
If politicians would start thinking of this country as home instead of
an arena, our government just might become what it was intended to be!!
Senator McCain, Please make America HOME once again!
