Re: Gentler, Kinder Christian

Screw religion and faith in any gods as dangerous:

Why?

Say, faith = No Doubt = thousands of years of atrocities in the name of

some god.

Or, say, Occam's Razor: There are an infinite number of universes. We

occupy one that permits life as we know it to arise Versus the infinite

contradictions of religious dogma.

Morality has much more to do with net gain for self and society through

mutually beneficial cooperation than religion, such cooperation having
existed tens of thousands of years before organized religion in
agrarian communities.

We don't need religion to tell us it's best to abide by certain
sensible rules, eg., don't kill, don't steal,..., so that both self and

society benefit.

Getting into an argument or debate with you will not help either one of
us. As they say in Alcoholics Anonymous, "Our public relations is
based on attraction rather than promotion." You know how it goes. If
I try to convince you that I'm right, and you're wrong, it will
probably result in you being more resolved in your position. That is
not my goal. God would not want me to do that. It's like, check this
out, and if you don't feel like it, okay.
