Re: Open Letter to the President

Dear President Bush;

Thank you for illuminating the evils of a dictatorship, of unchallenged
power. Thank you for showing us why greed begets only hatred and
selfishness. Thank you most of all for showing us why we should no
longer have the Presidency.

Democracy cannot exist when one person is given too much power.
Power to suspend the rights of others, such as extended soldiers'
commitment involuntarily. Power to suspend habeas corpus, the First
Amendment, and any other rights. Democracy cannot exist while we have
the Presidency.
