RE: [sof] Introduction...

Welcome my brother.
While the Grand Lodge of Oregon is not (yet) in amity with the MWPHA of
Georgia, We have full recognition of the MWPHA of Oregon, Idaho, and
Montana, Inc. In fact, three Prince Hall Lodges meet in our Lodge building
here in Portland, Oregon. They are part of our local Masonic family and we
regularly inter-visit, have jointly sponsored community programs, and have
held festive occasions like family dinners and picnics. It is wonderful to
experience both the uniqueness and the congruity of our two jurisdictions.
It is my fervent hope that other jurisdictions who do not yet recognize the
MWPHA will resolve their issues and we can one day have total amity between
the two groups. From what I have seen and experienced, we both can claim to
be "real" Masons.

Sincerely & Fraternally,

Richard L. Watson
Kenton Lodge #145
AF&AM of Oregon

Good day everyone,

I am a Prince Hall Affiliated Mason and just found out about this
particular group. I am from Atlanta, Georgia and I just wanted to be
cordial and introduce myself. May G-d's peace and blessing be upon
each of your families and I look forward to dialoguing with each of
you.

Welcome aboard, brother. While I have yet to visit a Prince Hall
Lodge, it is on my list of things to do.

Michael

Thank-you all for the warm welcome. It is my hope that those who visit
my blog will find it to be thought provoking and enlightening. I'm
looking to learn and to gather as much Light as I can from each of
you. I've yet to visit a Mainstream lodge myself; unfortunately, we
don't have amity in the State of Georgia. Racial tension is still at a
simmer. I would believe that the stereotypes that are placed on one
another come greatly into play, but that's another post. Until next
time, I'll see you in the forums.

May G-d's peace and blessing be upon each of your families.

Travel well in thought and Light in direction. . .

Osiris
