Re: Scottish Rite Question...

I belong to the Valley of Southern Illinois (in Belleville) and I feel confident in telling you that aside from the annual dues, the $300 will get you all of your degrees up through the 32nd. Yes, the initiation fee is a "one time thing" and unless they have a special assessment (rare) or a fee-based special event that you wish to attend, all that you'll be responsible for afterwards is your annual dues.

The Scottish and York Rites are excellent places to receive further light in Masonry, and I doubt that you'll regret receiving the degrees. Just keep in mind that these are additional, not higher, degrees. There is nothing higher than a Master Mason. My brother, I hope this helps.

Hello all...

I am looking to petition the Valley Of Chicago and I am filing out the
application and I have a question. I am sure that it is probably a real
dumb one...

The Initiation fee is $300.00 and dues are somewhere around $45.00.
Now my question is, when I go through the degree work what is the fee?
And is the initiation fee a one time thing?

Thanks,
