In our last episode,
<1cfd0309-3938-42ce-ad76-e8cb28d26869@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, the
lovely and talented JTEM broadcast on soc.motss:
I mean, a MTF could marry a man, sure, but they'd be marrying
as a "Gay" couple, not as a man & woman.
Let's see. Being married as two spouses is not good enough. It's
got to 'as a man & woman.'
That doesn't sound to me very much like smashing sexism. That's not
challenging gender stereotypes. That's trying to buy a lifetime
subscription to them. It's saying 'I want to perpetuate gender stereotypes,
but I want to choose my stereotype.'
Let me be clear what I am saying here: it is fundamentally a reactionary
position. If you claim that is *the* transgender position, then your claim
is that transgenderism is reactionary.
