In either event, I'd like to suggest to Kathryn that she set the

summertime might become an issue.

Kathryn is busy having a new niece. What month is most acceptable?
I'd suggest June--does anyone care that that's Pride month? We could
of course hit Portland Pride weekend if that'd be fun. Or aim to miss
it. Or do people prefer July or August?

Being a west coast city, isn't June pretty dismal for weather in Portland? Actually, I'll be driving down from Seattle the week of June 15 after the Seattle film festival. So I *could* be in Portland with a car the weekend of June 19-21; but then I wouldn't be taking the train up the coast. Still, that would work out well for me. Just please, not before that weekend, or I'll have to miss the .con.

But I do have a feeling that later in the summer would be more felicitous weather-wise. Anybody else care to venture an opinion?
