Although Carter is often called "The greatest ex-President,"
I believe history will view his administration with kinder
eyes.

Carter effectively took the heat for a lot of things that were
thrust on him -- the Iranian crisis and oil shortage to name
but two. These were world events, literally shaping the
economies of the globe, and Carter reacted in a way that
relieved the situation... unlike Nixon's energy policies, or
Reagan or Bush's military policies.
