Well, *you* try running a high-end hotel and being a saint at the same
time. It's not possible. Good hotels are like good sausages -- the
end result is faaabulous, but you don't want to watch what goes into
them.

heaven knows that the Hotel Panda isn't enormous - only two bedrooms,
and I don't even have the nerve to charge. I've done my share of room
cleaning, and you're right, it's not overly glam.

But then again, there are many many high-end hotels, and Leona only
ran a small subset of them. She's the only hotelier that *I* know of
who was an over-the-top bitch-on-wheels. How do the OTHER owners of
high-end hotels manage? They haven't been all over the papers being
as narsty as Leona. It wasn't her occupation that made her that way,
she was just nasty-to-the-bone ANYway.
