What is surprisingly hard is to switch over from one keyboard to the other. Even though it only concerns the three keys left of the space bar, I make as many errors as if I was switching to QWERTY. On the Logitech keyboard, it's the usual CTRL, then the Windows Key, then ALT. The Thinkpad doesn't have Windows keys, but a FN (function) key used to control the keyboard light, the screen brightness etc. But the order is FN, CTRL, ALT. So on the desktop, I keep hitting the Windows key when I want CTRL, which I use a lot. Annoying.

I'm surprised nobody talks about how difficult it is to touch-type in internet cafés in Paris (or for that matter in other Euro cities). Certain letters (for example the q, z and a, IIRC) are in a different place, which is *very* hard to adjust to if you're an anglophone touch-typist. Surely the French don't use the term QWERTY since it doesn't apply to their keyboards. Just for curiosity, what is the analogous term to qwerty in French?
