So far, Sen. Larry Craig has had no luck in withdrawing his guilty
plea to disorderly conduct because of his supposedly seeking sex in a
Minneapolis Airport men's restroom. He is appealing and I hope his
appeal will be successful.
I don't know if the senator actually sought sex in that restroom. I
also think it's pretty weird that a lawmaker might plead guilty to
having broken a law if he is in fact innocent.
He's a lawyer and knew what he was doing. He pled guilty to a violation
rather than go on trial for a crime. The only reason he's appealing now is
because it became public.
(Denise) I don't believe he's a lawyer. Prior to entering politics, he
had been a rancher.
