Updates to my Crime Library article on the Columbus Stocking Strangler
case have just gone up at

I'd be very interested in any thoughts readers of this newsgroup might
have on the case or on my story. Do you believe Carlton Gary is
clearly guilty? What do you think his motives were for this heinous
crimes? How do you believe I handled this story? Carlton Gary is a
very intelligent and talented man. He could have been a most
productive citizen and instead he sits on death row, convicted of
hideous crimes. What can we do to prevent little boys growing up now
from becoming predators? The particular types of crimes he committed
are most commonly committed by men and men are the vast majority of
those condemned to death in the United States so I believe this is
entirely germane to this newsgroup.


What I find most interesting about the question "How do we raise little boys
to not become monsters"

Look at some stats regarding child rearing and the absolute silence from the
main stream media regarding single mother homes vice single fathers homes,
regarding abuse by mothers etc.

Just about every site I have been to regarding violence against children is
actually a site for violence against women where children are kind of an
afterthought and rarely a mention of violence against the kids themselves
unless it has "The mother who abused her kids is very likely to have been
abused herself" <- iow, a justification for her abuse of the kids.

Do a google search for "mothers who abuse their kids", if you remove the
fathers rights sites and womens rights site and stick to government or or
so-called independant sites, just have a look at the numbers.
