In other words, it's difficult sometimes to seperate what we genuinely
want to do for others from what we do simply out of sake of our own
vanity or cynical social popularity. Hell, John and you barely even
understand that there's a distinction between the two. Sigh, the burden
of having an enlightened mind is thrust upon me once again... :-)

Of course I've thought about it. There is a common sopohmoric/juvenile
emotional position that everything that anyone does is for selfish
reasons. Even a mother's love or a father's sacrifice is viewed as
selfish because it presumably makes the doer feel good. The people who
take this position usually do so to avoid any responsibility toward
gratitude or reciprocation, or even common manners. It's impossible to
argue with the position.

But I don't beleive that "genetically programmed" axiomatically means
selfish.
One of the reasons I decided against having children was my distrust
of my own ability to love them unconditionally.
I am supposed to want them and desire them and I do not and never
have.

You are very brave to have stated this here. Good on you for having
the insight to realise this.

If she was "very brave", she would have admitted that she was a dyke.

Your need to lie shows you to be very weak, indeed.

And if you were "very brave", you'd pretty much do the same thing.
You're a goddamned Aussie woman, and typically enough, you're about as
feminine as a jock strap.

How pathetic can you be?
