Saying it's only fair that men be forced to fight wars and women not,
and men be jailed for refusing to fight and women not, is not acting
like a man. It's acting like a sexist.

Umm, who do you think made up those rules? It wasn't me, and it wasn't
women. But we have a volunteer military now, which allows potential
warriors of either sex to self-select.

The men fighting the war are
not the ones who started it. The men in jail for protesting war are
not the ones designing weapons. Lumping individuals together based on
gender is discrimination, pure and simple.

I agree with that. Individual variation spreads wider than class
characteristics, so nobody should be subject to rules based on their
race or sex or any other group characteristic.

But the title of this thread suggests that exact discrimination, the
assigning of rights based on sex, not individual accomplishment or a
concept of universal rights. Face it, a lot of the guys here just
plain hate all women.
