A study published in the September 2006 issue of the journal
Intelligence analyzed 145 items from the Scholastic Assessment Test
(SAT) in 100,000 17- to 18-year-olds and found a male IQ advantage of
3.63 points.
3.63 point advantage... oh, astounding.
Since IQ tests are normalized so that both men and women have an
average IQ of 100, it's clear that the tests are due for renormalization.
Given that IQ tests *are* normalized so that the average for men
and women is 100, they are not useful for comparing men and women.
There are some interesting observations however, look up the Flynn effect.
Cheers,
