Is that what your wife does, Mark? I guess you are one of those
"clods" you speak of

Parse the above sentence:

I said "If women blab on...". I didn't say anything about my wife.

So, your wife doesn't hate feminism? Good for her.

You really are obsessed about my wife. Jealous? :-)

Not at all. I feel sorry for her.

Why do you feel sorry for Mark's wife? Mark seems to me like a really
swell kind of man.

Well, there's no accounting for tastes.

Are we talking about Mark Soboloonski, advocate of the necessity of
colonising Venus immediately and also of a man's right to rape his
wife, or some other, saner, less odious Mark?

Hello Peter!

I'm curious: could you please provide the messageID's of me, personally,
EITHER advocating the necessity of colonizing Venus immediately

It's in the net.legends FAQ (circa 1992)

Bzzzt! WRONG ANSWER! Thanks for playing though.

, and that's good enough for me.

That's not saying much though. :-) See below:

If you don't like it, take it up with David DeLaney and the
contributors who remembered your inveterate lunacy.

It would help your claim that the FAQ is a valid, maintained repository
of information if you could post the actual URL rather than a google
search which returned links with stale data. Try clicking through next
time, eh?

Here's what I found:

http://www.vic.com/~dbd/net.legends.html

But sure, if you're going to use this totally lame claim that someone
writing a quote, without any attribution, cited on an old page that I
hadn't even read until recently proves something, I can certainly write
to him and ask to correct it. Indeed, he mentions that he is taking
updates and corrections and false attributions certainly fit into them.

HE'S certainly honest enough even if you aren't. But then again, even a
so-called rape apologist like me beats you in the honesty department
(which says something.)

or claiming a man had a right to "rape" his wife?

"While Bob's position sounds extreme, he does have a point that rape
is given far more importance than it deserves. How many men would
spend their lives crying if a woman forced them to have sex with them?
Or worry about prosecuting their wife if she forced him to have sex
with her? The rape hysteria says more about women's frigidity and
lack of respect for men's sexuality than it does about the severity of
the crime."

Thank for you providing another example of your low standards: There is
nothing in this out-of-context paragraph about a man having a right to
rape his wife. In fact, just the opposite: I talk about men not
worrying about their wife raping them! Did you actually READ that
paragraph?

It's clear that you are taking something I said out-of-context and not
even having a smoking gun quote against me even then. You've shown that
you are capable of making a reasoned response in other forums but it's
clear that I've hurt some cherished dogmatic belief you've been
indoctrinated with and you're frothing at the mouth. I could at least
respect your response if you were just a simple troll.

Most people reading that would rightly consider you to be scum.

There you go again obsessing over what other people think in leau of
providing a FACTUAL quote or even logical justification for your
cherished dogmatic beliefs. Poor Peter! You need a group hug to feel
better.

I've said from the beginning that my position is quite radical and even
celebrate the negative response it draws out of many people (I haven't
taken a worldwide poll and don't feel a need to bother because unlike
you, I don't limit my thinking based upon popularity contests.)

But hey, if it makes you feel somewhat less mediocre in being a member
of a small crowd of geeks (yeah, that's real cool) yelling "kook" at
people who disagree with that "cool" crowd, good for you. I find that
to be more pathetic than even the lowest, true kook who has no logical
rationalizations for their beliefs but to each his or her own.

Thought so.

(Note: People claiming I said something without any citations whatsoever
or their own interpretations of what I wrote don't count. I take such
histrionical gestures as a compliment and an indication that I've
seriously burst their cherished indoctrinated notions.)

For socmen's ideas about "citations", see the official soc.men FAQ:
<http://www.alcatroll.com/soc.men/faq.html#q16>

I think it's great that you put up a web page that "officially" reflects
your inability to come up with reasoned responses or citations to points
that "kooks" make. I prefer to put the effort into writing reasoned
responses and as you can see, it pays off.

PolishKnight
