More exposure of Komen's donations to Planned Parenthood

Earlier this year, I posted news of the region leader of a Komen "race
for the cure" pink-ribbon breast cancer being busted for child porn.
She had a large collection of images of young boys being raped.

Today's news has two stories involving Komen. First, Sandra Batte,
the pedophilic leader of the Komen chapter, was sentenced to only
three years in prison. Second, exposure of another ugly secret about
Komen has occurred. A Catholic archbishop encouraged Catholics not to
support Komen because they donate to Planned Parenthood. In at least
22 states, Komen has donated to PP. The irony is having an abortion
increases the mother's risk of getting breast cancer.

ST. LOUIS: Archbishop Raymond Burke approved a letter that criticized
a charity for supporting Planned Parenthood and stem cell research
just weeks before he resigned from the board of a second charity for
similar reasons, the Archdiocese of St. Louis confirmed Friday.

Burke made headlines Wednesday when he announced his resignation as
chairman of the board of directors for the Cardinal Glennon Children's
Foundation, saying he could not tolerate the foundation's decision to
let abortion rights advocate Sheryl Crow headline a benefit concert
Saturday night.

The archdiocese said that in late March, Burke approved a memo
criticizing Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a national organization of
breast cancer survivors and activists.

The memo said the archdiocese could not endorse the charitable group
because it gave financial grants to Planned Parenthood, supports
embryonic stem cell research and has dismissed a link between
abortions and incidents of breast cancer.

Planned Parenthood runs clinics that offer sexual and reproductive
health care, including birth control advice, emergency contraception
and abortion services.
