First it was the veil, then it was the burqa. Now they can't even bow
down to God without you carping about it. Any religious custom you
don't agree with is "brainwashing" and yet you consider yourself to be
all about equal rights.


Yet where American men commonly search
for brides overseas are places such as Russia
or the Philippines, places whose people raise
their girls to be at least as emotionally strong
women as Americans do.

Western men are just like other men, in that they at least want someone
who can share their values. That doesn't really speak to the issues of
insecure men who want a woman they can boss about. If you take a
woman from her family and bring her to a place she doesn't know,
without friends, and sometimes where she doesn't even speak the
language, she is bound to you....and some men like boxing Helena.


Your way is not the only way Hyerdahl. Other cultures and religions
are valid. That is, as you like to say "a FACT."

So, obviously we> can conclude that the feminist accusation that
what men in general (or among those who are
regulars in this happy little news group
specifically) want is _not_ the feminist
stereotype of the subservient foreign woman.

Are you kidding? Not all foreign women are subservient. Some are
simply in situations of poverty and despair which they would try to
escape by marrying western men. That doesn't make them "subservient"
by nature; it simply makes them desperate.

And some American men are simply in situations of finding only self
absorbed women with overdeveloped senses of entitlement which they
would try to escape by marrying foreign women. That doesn't make them
"insecure" by nature; it simply makes them desperate.
