Of course not! He's too much of a man to beat up on the womenfolk. ;-)
By the same token, my
wife likes a man who is capable of standing up for
himself even if to her.
My man knows how to stand up for himself without beating up a woman. I also
know how to stand up for myself without beating up on my man. ;-)
Neither one of us, however, pushes the point to such an extent that either
one of us may feel compelled to leave. We know how to compromise and how to
make both of us happy. For us, it's never been a situation of my way or his
way. We usually opt for: How can we accomodate both? His interests *and*
my interests?
For example: Do we go to the drag races or to the theatre? We'll opt to do
these activities *seperately.* We'll meet up later at the restaurant to
enjoy a meal *together.* ;-)
We also never command each other around. I can in no way order my husband
around just as he knows me well enough he cannot order me around either. We
both balk at being ordered around. So, we just don't do it. We can
*suggest* things, but never demand. The two of us are just too darn
stubborn. ;-)

Well...that's just plain out dumb and unfair. Going Dutch, or taking turns,
or finding something in lieu of is a fairer way to go if both are earning a
good and fairly equal income.
Or they tried to pressure me to buy an expensive ring
and got REALLY nasty when I declined.
If they had been smart, they could have said
and done what I wanted to hear and I would have
been led like a lamb to the slaughter. Oh,
wait, I forgot who I was talking about! :-)
Ya, I got suckered in good by my hubby! LOL...He told me everything I
wanted to hear! He damned well tricked me into marrying him! And I had
wanted to be that eccentric spinster aunt! Rats! ;-)
Ah well... it's a good thing I love the guy. I can forgive him that major
transgression! Mind you, I didn't really try all that hard to resist his
charms. I could have worn wreaths of garlic around my neck! LOL.. ;-)
