More Housework For Boys Proposed:
Now let's see, given they want boy's to do more housework then it must follow that
girl's do more "UNPAID" jobs that men do in the house,eg:Decorating, gardening, car
repair, rubbish removal, carpet laying,ALL DIY work, taking Ms fatarse to the shops so
she can spend YOUR money, and last but not least fetching the remote and beer for the
master!
" Boys should be made to do more household chores so as to develop a work ethic
that would stop them falling behind at school, an education consultant said today.
" [ http://education.guardian.co.uk/schools/story/0,,1797435,00.html ]
Chris Keates, general secretary of the NASUWT, criticised what she called an
overemphasis on the problems boys faced at school.
"These days we seem to hear nothing else but concerns about the underachievement of
boys. I have struggled hard to try to remember the same amount of energy being
expended in debate, consternation and general handwringing surrounding
underachievement of girls in the past or indeed now."
It is almost unbelievable, isn't it?
Sometimes I think that these 'educationalists' would more likely blame Saddam
Hussein for the underachievement of boys in this country than admit to their own
incompetence.
After all, boys spend a good part of their lives in the hands of ...
... the teaching profession.
The education of our boys is supposed to be in the hands of ...
... the teaching profession.
Given that the education of our boys is failing then, perhaps, those in ...
... the teaching profession ...
... should ask themselves where they are going wrong!
And the fact that instead of doing this they continually try to pin the blame on
the boys themselves - or suggest that their poorer performance simply does not
matter - tells you a great deal about the true nature of those who work in ...
... the teaching profession.
And please do not kid yourself that many teachers do not share the same views as
Chris Keates, because this woman was elected by teachers to represent them. She is
the official voice of some 200,000 teachers. And so when she says that she is
unconcerned about the relatively poor performance of boys then this will reflect
the opinion of about one-third of the teachers in this country - and it will also
affect a considerable proportion of the public - particularly the boys!
Given this, it is hardly surprising that our boys are underperforming.
the teaching profession ...
... is clearly letting them down through a combination of incompetence, a lack of
concern, and an openly-declared reluctance to do anything to remedy the situation.
And then teachers have the nerve to complain that they do not get enough support
from the parents of the children whom they teach. Well, given their attitudes
towards at least half of those children, I am not very surprised.
You may email your opinions about Chris Keates' remarks to the NASUWT right here,
