Puke, as long as connor is referring you to traditionalist
organizations, here's another one that you should check out called
"Ladies Against Feminism".

I didn't read the articles, but I looked at the pictures.
Look how well these women are dressed in their homemade clothes, and
look how shitty you look in the ones that you bought from the last
garage sale.
Grizz, I made almost all of my children's clothing until they were in
Jr. High, and I also made some of their clothing then, when they would
ask. I still make some of my own clothing, but only those things I
can't buy for less. Perhaps you've confused having good homemaking
skills with being anti feminist. I really have to remind you, that
Martha Stewart is both a feminist AND has tremendous homemaking skills.
BTW, my neice just asked me if I could make her something
special to wear for an awards ceremony she is attending. She's being
presented with an award there.
And I imagine that this site also has its share of sock-darning tips.
Possibly, but also let me remind you that Martha Stewart makes money
off of those tips.
Hello Carol Ann.
You certainly are full of surprises. In the first place, you haven't
called me "Grizz" for months. What happened to "Dave"?
I have not really confused "good homemaking skills" with being
"anti-feminist". The organization is called Ladies Against Feminism.
They seem to be the ones making that association.
And for that matter, based on your history, I would also expect you to
make the same association. I would expect you to deride other women
for being good homemakers - as being Phil-Jills or patrilickers or
whatever your choice phrase would be - so I actually am a little
surprised to hear you boast of your own skills in that regard. This
sounds like a tactical maneuver on your part.
In any event, I don't believe this about your having good homemaking
skills and making your own clothes any more than I believe your other
stories.
I don't believe that you owned and operated your own undefined business
(which at one time was a swimming school and then was not a swimming
school) AND raised a bunch of kids (and maybe a "neice" or two along
the way) without a father figure, AND swam regularly AND traveled
regularly AND made your own clothes AND your kids clothes AND that you
are still doing the same now while continuing to swim and salsa and so
on and so forth while continuing to average about 400 or 500 posts a
month in this newsgroup.
I not only don't believe that you are this talented and this energetic
and this giving of yourself, but I also don't believe that you could
have done all these things and still picked up the emotional baggage
that you have obviously picked up over the years.
You wouldn't be spending every waking hour in this newsgroup - over the
last ten years or so - trying to push people's emotional buttons, often
using language in the process that would make a sailor blush, if you
were that well-rounded and that accomplished.
As for Martha Stewart, I don't know whether she calls herself a
feminist or not. I have actually seen other feminists deride her for
glorifying the role of homemaker. But if she's a feminist, then she's
a felon feminist :-) :-) :-)
