Well, when you consider that women have historically been denied rights
for, property ownership, the vote, certain educational institutions,
certain workplace institutions, equal bodily privacy rights, etc. etc.
it stands to reason that feminists think women have been shortchanged.

Feminists can lose various arguments, but not this one - this is the
crucial assumption, one they simply cannot abandon. It is not
surprising then that materials like this are routinely ignored and
covered up:
Let's try again. When you hold a race or sex of people back, it stands
to reason they will have to have equal access in order to get ahead. I
think what bitter twitters fear the most may be that women will surpass
them. After all, when women get on a more level playing field...well,
just look at what's going on right now, on college campuses.
