Rankings of U.S. Presidents from Greatest to Least Great (multiple rankings)

I note that Wikipedia has done an interesting job of presenting
multiple historical rankings of America's presidents.

A note on how this table works: the presidents are listed here in
chronological order. But if you click the little square "double
arrowhead" icon at the top of each column, the presidents will be
sorted according to that ranking. So, for example, if you click the
square icon at the top of the "1982 Murray-Blessing survey of 846
historians" column, you will see the presidents ranked from greatest
to least great according to that survey. You can sort as many poll
rankings as you wish. (When you see a "---" instead of a number in
one of the cells, that President is not ranked. Seems to me these
unranked presidents should be placed at the bottom, not the top. But
there you have it. (If anyone is empowered to edit this page, you
might replace "---" with "NR" for "not ranked" -- this would correct
the sorting issue, I think.))

A bit more about each poll will be found just above the table.

Here's the link:

or, if that doesn't work, this one should:

Note, if you click the "Chronological order" arrowhead multiple times,
the presidents will be sorted either from most recent to least recent
or vice versa. Helpful if you'd like to see how the presidents in
your lifetime have fared in these surveys. (Seems to be a perceived
dearth of presidential greatness in my lifetime. Is this real, or is
it just the "myopia of the present"? Perhaps President Truman is the
most obvious case of "evaluation drift" here -- widely disliked when
he left office, he comes in among the top ten in each survey in which
he is ranked!)

The rest of the article above and below the table is also worth
reading.

Clearly, linear rankings of this kind are of very limited use, but
they can stimulate worthwhile discussion and reflection.

Your thoughts on this are most welcome. Thanks in advance for
whatever you might choose to share.
