The B-26's wing span was increased from 65'0" to 71'0" about 600 aircraft into the B-26B production run.

I'm not sure why the increased span aircraft wasn't given a separate model designation but the larger wing span B-26 was just designated the B-26B-10. Certainly the modified wing was a significant enough change to warrant a new model designation.
