Aleutian campaign

Did the Japanese think thru their Aleutian campaign very carefully? When I
think about it- the logisitics of supporting a large force in a remote
sector close to enemy territory seems frightful. Where there any thoughtful
dissenting voices in the Japanese military re this move?
