I'd be interested to see your list, since by my count there are seven
continents and combat occurred, either on the land of, in the air over, or
in seas adjacent to all of them except possibly Antarctica.
Fighting took place in WW2 in Africa, Asia and Europe. No fighting took
place in North America and South America. I confess I excluded Australasia
and Antarctica as 'minor' continents with small populations and low levels
of industry.
There may not have been land battles. There was at least one incident of the
Japanese shelling in British Columbia. UBoats were active along the east coast
and well up the St. Lawrence. The Battle of the River Plate took place just off
the shore of Argentina. The Graf Spee sought scooted into Montevideo, supposedly
for repair. The British complained about its presence and invoked the 24 hour
rule of international law, but then arranged for a civilian transport to leave
port so that it would have to wait a while, long enough for reinforcements to
come and wait in ambush.
