The point raised was whether the guns on the towers (if any
and in which towers) were pointed inward or outward, not
whether they existed.
And speaking of Manzanar, pro-Japan fanantics tried to kill
the MPs during the course of riots which, among other reasons,
included a celebration of the first anniversary of Japan's victory
at Pearl Harbor. A couple of Thompson sub-machine guns were
used by MPs to defend themselves at that time.
