I think it's interesting that the terms "Western Front" and "Eastern Front" so
clearly reflect the German p.o.v., yet have come into common usage.
Yes, I have noted that too. I think that is at least partially due to the
fact that for the first four decades of the war, German accounts of the war
in Eastern Europe were the only ones that Western historians had available
that were detailed and considered reliable. On that last point, they were
somewhat overrated.
