I often speak of the Pacific War, since it is difficult to speak of
WWII in the Pacific.
Pacific War: Dec 1941 - Aug 1945.
Perhaps from a Americocentric perspective. However, Australia and New
Zealand are in the 'Pacific theatre', and both of those nations were very
much involved in WW2 before December 1941.
