Norden Bomb Sight

I was reading "The Legendary Norden Bombsight," ( A.L.Pardini,
Schiffer, 1999) in hopes of getting some explanation of how it worked.

Alas, no... the problem it solved is well explained, but the paragraphs
that go with the schematics fall far short of clarity.

It becomes apparent that it was a horribly complicated device,
incorporating at least one mechanical "integrator," but what the
operator had to do to hit the target is not very clear.

Googling has not yielded anything useful (although there is at least
one sim in a video game that shows you how to use it!).

Does anybody know of a clear explanation, hopefully web accessible??

Cheers and all,
Wes
