What Will A Second Obama Term Do To Dear (R) Friends?


Our favorite commander became unhinged after November 2008. And the tone of many Republicans today badly disguises the internal fever pitch they are reaching after carrying a dark, pointy thorn in the flesh for years.

It is that Republicans could actually do no better than Romney, or that a perfect storm of idiocy has resulted in yet another badly vetted candidate. Didn't they know that what raised eyebrows in primary campaigns, Bain and taxes, would raise hell in a presidential run?

But for Romney it is too late for any thinking. Romney is a total mess. At the same time he runs on his business acumen and shirks responsibility for the operation of said business when inconvenient.

And much worse. We know he paid less than 14% taxes in 2010, and probably less other years. Even if he does not release more tax returns that confirm it, the picture is quite clear already: Romney profits and relies on the generosity of the government's tax code for additional millions he doesn't need, while he scoffs at people who look at government for food or medical help and their survival.

That variety of hypocrisy during the bad times is dooming him as more people see it. Not to mention that Obama can run circles around him at this game, any day.
