I know my daughter read a couple of them at one time an said she was a

novelist or something like that. I doubt it was because she agreed with
the "philosophy".
As far as 'Atlas' is concerned (did not try her other books and stuck
on 20%+ of 'Atlas' so far), the literary merits are highly
questionable, to put it mildly.

Might be. The weirdest critters from the Marianas Trenches of intellectual
endeavour can sometimes forge quite apposite criticisms of their
contemporaries.
The problems always arise with the proposed solutions.
