British victory in WWI against the Ottoman Empire dependent far more
on Arab support than on the Jews!!! More Jews fought for the central

The Arabs achieved very little and what the Arab army did achieve was almost all down to the British armoured car column that accompanied them just about everywhere.

Lawrence was a brilliant self publicist but just about everything in his memoirs has now been questioned.

As for the Jews who fought in WWI, I'm afraid the ones who fought for the Central Powers are irrelevant. The only ones who mattered were the people who fought for the winning side.

When they didn't get it they turned nasty.

But they got it!!! The Brits promised them a "homeland", not a state,
and they delivered. Actually, they over-delivered considering the
Arab rebellion of 1936. But, of course, the "homeland" part was the
"Trojan horse". The thugs (Irgun, Stern) were not willing to settle
for a secular, bi-communal state, weren't they? They want it all (God
promised it to them, as you know).

I can't find any records of any Jews who were not prepared to go for some form of statehood. Much like the Arabs of Palestine today.

After WWII the Irgun especially found themselves with a reliable source of highly trained saboteurs and guerilla fighters, all British trained...

Of course there were very few Arabs with British training and those that there were didn't have any combat experience...

PS: What about the British arrogance of promising a homeland in
somebody's else home???? This is worth a couple of chuckles, isn't
it? In fact, originally they offered Uganda!

The British Empire between WWI and WWII was a bit of a disaster area for all concerned.

Just about all they did that worked was to agree to get out of India.
