We Brits project the "British special case" only to Britain because we
are an island and geographically and culturally separate from
Continental Europe.
When did that happen? Being culturally separate that is?
Is it the Celtic heritage? The Saxon one? The Danish one?
The Norman one?
It's always been that way. Non-British people probably don't understand
and can't contemplate the feeling that the people of the United Kingdom
have in feeling that we are "separate" from the rest of Europe. We even
call Europe, "The Continent". It's as if we are a mini-continent on our
own.
I think you have to be British to understand this and have empathy with
it. As an island race, it's part of how we are.
The moron has gotten loose again. Posting indiscriminately.
